MONKEYHOUSE ARCHITECTS is a multi-purpose design studio committed to creating spaces that engage and invigorate the occupants. We are dedicated to helping each client bring to life an environment that brings them joy and comfort. We strive for that ethereal quality that makes a house a home, a hotel lobby an attraction, or an office a space you want to stay in. Building strong and honest relationships with our clients is a priority, ensuring a clear understanding of the personal nuances that go into achieving that ethereal quality for each individual project and person. Through this understanding, and a robust background of experience in the language of design and the built-environment, we curate spaces through the sculpting of shape and movement, and meticulous consideration of materials, color, and light.
Sepi and Garrett met while each earning their Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California.

Sepi Maleki, AIA
Principal / Creative Director
A Registered Architect in California, New York, and Pennsylvania, Sepi has over ten years of professional design experience in both architecture and interior design, including residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. She has a rich understanding of contextual narrative and emotive design, cultivated through her work in film and theatrical set design, and explored through her years of experience working on large-scale hotel and restaurant interiors.
Garrett O’Sullivan
Creative Director
Garrett is an architectural designer and artist. He has a wide range of experience in design, having spent over ten years working in architecture, landscape, interior design, and construction. His work spans residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. As an artist with gallery showings in Brooklyn, New York and Los Angeles, California, Garrett’s vision encompasses color and form at all scales of a project from art and furniture to building envelope and spatial relationships.
